Full disclosure: I ended up buying my car on the other side of the state only because the options I wanted were very hard to find or had a long lead time. However, working with Shawn and Damarys for a few weeks to try to find the right car for my family was a real pleasure, especially compared to other west side Toyota dealerships. Rodland’s team is extremely responsive, but they also are very knowledgeable and don’t just try to push the most expensive option. They listened very carefully to what I wanted and focused on addressing what I wanted rather than pushing an alternative that was easier for them. If you’re looking for a Toyota and are in the area, talk to these guys.

Update from a returned customer - Recently made my 4th car purchase from Rodland Toyota, and each experience has gotten better. Buying a car can be stressful and time-consuming, but the team made the process smooth, comfortable, and easy. I first connected with Damarys back in Jan 2026 while planning ahead for my lease options and possible Toyota upgrades. She kept me updated the whole time, and when I reached back out, she responded right away and had the newest Land Cruiser ready for a test drive. Shawn was great to work with during the test drive and numbers process, and Melina made signing paperwork quick and easy. The whole team was patient, welcoming, and helped ease my anxiety throughout the experience. Thank you to Rodland Toyota and the team for helping me drive away in the Land Cruiser I wanted. The repair of an engine oil drip for $929.75 was on track for 5 stars, until it became evident to me that "the leak" had not been fixed, despite Declan, the service technician, having confirmed that "engine oil leak no longer present". TLDR: When my 2011 Rav4 continued to drip oil on my garage floor following "the repair", I returned to the dealership. Upon further investigation, "that leak" was coming from the timing chain cover. The quote to fix "that leak" was an additional ~$5500, but the dealership offered to discount the ~$5500 repair by the $929.75 I already paid. It doesn't seem logical to spend drastically more money "repairing" a car, when the problem wasn't fixed with the first "repair". The Long Version/Supporting Evidence -What about the 36 mo "warranty" on work?? I was told it doesn't apply because Rodland never worked on the timing chain cover, I.E. the warranty in question would never cover a bad diagnosis. -The vehicle inspection notes that my cabin air filter "requires immediate attention" based on it being dirty. However, I put a grey/charcoal type cabin air filter in one week prior, so I'm guessing the technician mistook the grey color for dirt (OEM filters are white). If Declan isn't taking the time to differentiate a clean grey/charcoal air filter from a dirty air filter, I question his other diagnosis. -I think this experience would have a much less frustrating if it hadn't involved the wasted time of a second trip to the dealership and a discussion where Rodland is saying they fixed "a leak", just not the one that is currently dripping on my garage floor. -I'm closest to Toyota of Kirkland but I drive to Everett because I think Rodland's part's dept, lounge, shuttle and service advisors that I've dealt with are better than Toyota of Kirkand (and that's why Rodland's was on track for a 5 star review...but ended up with 2 stars). -About two months ago, I told Daniel, the service manager, that if Rodland was interested in proving they could actually fix the engine oil leak, where I pay for the parts involved (~ $900), let me know. I have not heard back...

Went in to look at 2017 117k Tahoe - carfax recent report showed they replaced one tire, they couldn’t confirm. Also showed they installed an anti-theft alarm/keyless device - confirmed they actually did not. Back and forth about what they could share from their presale inspection. Refused to allow car to be taken off lot for pre-sale inspection from independent mechanic, even with offer of deposit. Claimed people do this and buy a different car from the mechanic? This was after generally accepting that I could take it off lot for this up until the point I confirmed appointment with mechanic and was about to leave after looking at it myself. Team was nice, but concerning all around process for a used car

I recently saw a review of an east coast Toyota dealership on TikTok, which reminded me of an experience I had about three years ago here at Rodland. At the time, I had just returned from Korea and was in the market for a new car. My brother was also looking for a vehicle, so we decided to visit the dealership together. I was also planning to purchase a second car for my wife within the following year. My mom was also thinking about getting a used car. Before our visit, my mother had apparently spoken with a Korean salesperson at the dealership. When we arrived, he seemed visibly annoyed from the start. He didn't even greet us. Rather than helping us, he simply printed out information on a couple of vehicles and told us to do our own research. When my mother asked about used cars within her budget, he dismissed the question and said there were none because used cars were selling for nearly the same price as new ones and flying off the lot. Throughout the entire interaction, he kept brushing us off, spending more time chatting with other salespeople than assisting us. Every time we asked a question, he seemed irritated. After about 10 minutes in the showroom, we decided to leave. The following week, we visited Burien Toyota, where we were treated with more respect. We ended up purchasing a Corolla Cross and a RAV4. About a year later, I bought another vehicle, a Honda, from a different dealership. I have also since then bought a Kia Carnival. And we're still in the hunt for getting a car for my mom. To be fair, this was during a period when cars were selling extremely quickly and inventory was limited. My impression was that the sales guy didn't want to spend time with customers who might be looking for discounts or asking too many questions because vehicles were practically selling themselves. Regardless of the reason, I still remember walking out with a bad taste in my mouth. Hopefully, customer service has improved since then, because no potential customer should feel like they're an inconvenience simply for asking questions.
