I grew up in a small town in west Texas, called Paint Rock, with a population just under 300 people. I am the youngest of 7, with 3 brothers and 3 sisters. All seven of us are all still living. My sisters are 83, 81, and 79, while my brothers are 77, 74, and 69. Before working in the car business, I was a PGA golf pro for 13 years. Last May marked my 30-year anniversary in the car business, 2 ½ of which have been here at Rodland Toyota. I like that Rodland Toyota has been around for a long time. We have good people and a great product. You get out of life what you put into it. The car business has been very good to me. You must respect it. You must work hard. But most of all, you must be honest.

I was born in Walla Walla where my grandparents were famers. After moving to Edmonds when I was five, I continued to go back to Walla Walla to spend my holidays on the farm. I am the oldest of three children. My brother now lives in Scotland and my sister is an accountant in Bellevue. I was recently married and have three daughters who each give me so much pride. My favorite thing to do is to spend quality time with my family and friends. I also love to entertain, cook, decorate, camp, hike, and work out. I started in the auto industry at 21 years old, and this June marks 30 years in the business. I was fortunate enough to start as a personal assistant to one of my mentors, C. Paul Baker. From there I went on to be a service cashier, receptionist, assistant fleet manager, customer relations manager, human resources and payroll, account receivables and payables, and last but not least, a wholesaler. I have been with Rodland Toyota for the past 3 years, and I like the fact that this company is family based and has been in business for 99 years. The owners strive to continuously improve customer service and they are actively involved in the community. I have always believed integrity and your reputation are all one has, and with this company, those values are appreciated.

I lived in Beijing, China for 25 years before moving to Boston, Massachusetts, and then later to Seattle. I have been in the auto industry for seven years, five of which I have spent here. Rodland Toyota has a special way of caring for their employees and customers. I love people and try to do my best for others. I started in the car industry 15 years ago working positions such as a lot attendant, finance manager, sales manager, and detail manager. I was born in Burlington Washington but grew up in Mount Vernon. My wife’s name is Evonne, and we have two daughters, Hannah (17) and Madelyne (11), along with two miniature schnauzers. I love exercising like lifting weights and biking, along with gardening and lawn care. Being outside in the sunshine is the best…so why do I live in Washington again? In my two years in the auto industry, I have been a BDC director and am currently a sales consultant.
